If you are looking for a curriculum that will engage students and simplify your life this is it. This unit is the fifth in the ASL 2 curriculum series.

Creative ASL Teaching has designed this unit to include everything you and your students need to start the pathway to proficiency and develop strong ASL language skills. This unit focuses on what and who is in the community and neighborhood. Students will explore locations and people who are in communities in the US.

The unit will last 7 – 20 days depending on your bell schedule, students, and teaching style.

• Places in the community
• What is close and nearby to my neighborhood
• Who lives in my neighborhood (ethnicity)
• Signer’s perspective
• Giving directions to a location
